Choosing Your Activity

You might have a particular goal in mind (building communication) or if you’re planning on meetings prior to your activity you might want something to tie into the theme of the day’s work. We have a wide range of activities for you to choose from here.
Or if you need guidance on a team activity that meets a certain criteria or goal please ask our team to help you create a tailor made package that incorporates your company away day objective.
Timing could well play a factor, no one really wants to be outside on a team building event in the middle of December however there are plenty of great indoor Team Building Games and events to choose from. If you’re planning an Evening Event you could combine it with a meal in our Murder Mysteries.

Selecting a Venue

Home or away? If you’re planning an overnight event we generally suggest staying within an hour’s travel of your workplace to allow your delegates to arrive in plenty of time without having to start their day too much earlier. Especially if they have to make a return journey the same day.
We have a wide selection of venues across the UK and Europe that offer; meeting rooms, meeting facilities (A/V equipment, WiFi, access to printers, etc), indoor and outdoor activity spaces, dining, outdoor catering. While many of our activities are hosted on their own sites.

Guest List

Plan your invite list and send out notifications as early as possible, giving everyone a deadline of when you need responses in. We allow 6 weeks prior to your event date for details to be finalised (while giving some margin for change). After this point availability to increase numbers might become an issue so always allow as much time as possible to finalise your guest list prior to the event.

Transport

Will your delegates be making their own way to the venue? If you’re doing an activity only day (not staying overnight or hosting meetings) talk to our team about helping arrange group transport from your place of work to the activity venue.

Budget

Budgeting for an event can be difficult, especially when factoring in any catering costs, transport, drinks, prizes, venue hire, etc. If you’re unsure of this we can help you to work backwards by looking at your overall event budget and then helping you tailor an event to suit your needs and finances.

Insurance and Assurance

As the event organiser you’ll be responsible for arranging the event without handing over company money to shady third parties. Always research any companies you’re booking from (including us!) to ensure they are a bona fide. We always advise booking with ABTA bonded (W7797) companies giving you complete financial protection. You should also check with your company insurers for clarity of company events held outside your normal working premises.

Extras

Are there any extras you need to include in your budget? Prizes for the winning teams, T-shirts for sports days, budgeting for lunches, taxis, etc.
If you have any larger requirements you can contact our team or check out our wide range of extra event facilities from videographers and audio visual presentation equipment to speakers and guest host including TV’s very own Keith ‘Cheggers’ Chegwin. “Wayhay!”
